Please follow the following steps to become a member of the Anna Maria Island Privateers

1)  Please join us at a couple meetings and maybe a couple events to get to know the Krewe.  The next scheduled meeting and/or event can be found in the Event Calendar.

2) If you believe you would like to join us, please print the application below, fill it out, and give it to a Board member at the next meeting, along with $30.  We take cash and checks.  You will then be sent a link to get your background check done.  We do our checks through Sterling Volunteers, and your check can then be used with any volunteer organization that also uses Sterling Volunteers.  The cost for the check is $19.99.

3)  Once you pass your background check, you are considered a Red Shirt, not yet an official member of the Privateers.  Your Red Shirt period is a time to find your Black Shirt sponsor.  This sponsor must be in Good Standing.  Your sponsor is responsible for teaching you the ins and outs of being an AMI Privateer.  The person you choose is your Black Shirt forever so choose wisely.
