Anna Maria Island – The Anna Maria Island Privateers will be holding a Thieves Market and Bake Sale on Saturday, February 11; 2012 at the usual location on Coquina Beach, City of Bradenton Beach, from 8am-3pm.
The Thieves Market is a flea market-type event held monthly through the winter season. Vendors will be selling everything from: housewares, tools, jewelry and antiques to fresh produce, collectibles and toys; plus much, much more. The upcoming Thieves Market schedule is as follows: March 10th and April 14th.
Look for the pirate ship "Scullywag" at the Thieves Market, and where there is a ship there will be Privateers selling grilled burgers and dogs. Big John's Famous Barbecue will also be available for purchase. In addition the pirates are having a Bake Sale that will include an offering of pies, cakes, cookies and other tasty treats, and just in Time for Valentines Day! Proceeds from the food sales contribute to the Privateers' fundraising efforts.
Vendor booths are available for all remaining Thieves Market dates. For more information contact: Mary "Woodstock" Zuchniewicz. Booths measure app. 12' x 35' each, cost is $25.00; applicants subject to approval.
The Thieves Market is a fund raising events for the Anna Maria Island Privateers, a 501c3 non-profit organization. The Privateers are involved in a variety of “kids and community” needs; as well as awarding local high school students through their yearly scholarship program.
